The Value of Time

ree

What is time? Well, if you do a quick online search, the concept of time can get very deep and philosophical. From Einstein’s theory of relativity to quantum mechanics, scientists have been pondering this question for a very long time.

Without getting into the scientific meaning or interpretation of time, we can actually keep it quite simple for business. Time is the duration we have during daylight hours and darkness to get things done, which then repeats itself over and over. What we do with time is unique to each individual. And when it comes down to it, there truly never seems to be enough time, right?

Whether it’s the time we need to complete a project before the deadline or the time we spend with loved ones, it just goes by too fast! Saving time is one of the best marketing angles a virtual assistant can propose to clients. Who doesn’t want more time in their day? Especially in the business world where “time is money”.

So, by offering to save a client time in his/her day, you are directly providing a value-add service because your client can take the time that he/she typically spent doing time-consuming yet necessary tasks and instead dedicate more time to tasks that bring in money. Whether that is meeting with clients, developing a product or prospecting, having more time is essential.

Of course, you can’t control what your clients actually do with the time they save by having you complete tasks they used to do, but a business owner will certainly understand the benefit that saving time brings to the business.

An added benefit for some clients is also more personal time. Business owners and entrepreneurs are busy 24/7, and just maybe hiring a virtual assistant will give your client a little bit more time for activities that renew the body and mind, physically and spiritually. Not that I recommend you advertise this potential benefit but taking time for yourself and taking care of yourself is really important in today’s go-go-go world. So if your services happen to result in giving your busy stressed-out client some personal space, that’s a win for all! Hope you gained some insight into giving a value to saving time.
